Environmental policy
1599 at the Royal College is an event venue. The building of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow houses a collection of unique rooms and function suits available for formal functions, private dining, conferences, meetings and events, and bespoke weddings. Our function and meeting rooms each tell a part of the College’s story through history, with individual character, charm, and period features.
The senior management of 1599 at The Royal College Ltd is committed to its environmental responsibilities and has established a structured Environmental Management System, which sets objectives and targets to improve our performance. Our main objectives for improvement include:
- Reduction of energy consumption
- Reduction of CO2 emissions
- Reduction and recycling of solid waste
